{Honest Review} e-auto Glass and Chrome Cloth (from e-cloth)

Disclosure: I received this product for free from e-cloth. I was not compensated in any other way for this review. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

I don’t know about you, but cleaning is one of my LEAST favorite tasks. I’d seriously do just about anything else first. And cleaning the car is definitely low on my priority list. Fortunately, I have a husband who prides himself on clean cars and enjoys taking care of that type of thing. Even still, it’s hard to find the time to clean the cars as often as he’d like (or as often as we should), so when I had the opportunity to try the e-auto Glass and Chrome Cloth by e-cloth, I jumped at the chance. If there’s a product out there that will make this task just a bit easier (and go more quickly), I’m all for it!

The cloth arrived very quickly, and in great shape. I immediately tore open the packaging so I could check it out!  I love getting mail.

The cloth was slightly different than what I expected.  For some reason, I was thinking it would be more like a towel, but it wasn’t.  It was thin (more like a t-shirt thickness) and had a slightly ribbed or grippy texture on one side. The other side was smooth. I was fairly skeptical that it would work with just a wet surface, so I was anxious to put it to the test.

I’m sorry to say I didn’t take any before/after pictures, but believe me- this cloth WORKS!! After I was done wiping down the car chrome, I brought it inside and used it to clean my bathroom faucets and mirror. I always have the hardest time getting those faucets shiny, but the cloth did the trick! It even cleaned the chrome temperature control nozzle in my shower (which was pretty sad and covered with water spots and scum). I didn’t even have to use that much elbow grease- certainly no more than I normally used when cleaning. Add to that the added benefit of not having to spray any cleaners (hello, money saving! And no breathing in that stuff!), and I’m sold. I have safely stashed my e-cloth into the cleaning drawer, and I will be pulling it out next time we have to clean cars or anything else shiny (or glass) in the house. I love that this cloth is so multi-purpose… you definitely get your money’s worth!

Here’s the description from the e-cloth website:

Used after cleaning the car, the Glass & Chrome Cloth leaves glass, chrome and bright body parts sparkling and smear free.
• Glass and Chrome Cloth – 20” x 16”
• Use the Glass and Chrome cloth to produce a perfect smear-free, lint-free and polished finish on windshields, glass, chrome and mirrors using just water
• How to Use: Use the cloth dry on a dampened surface to remove light grease and finger marks and to dry to a perfect, smear-free, polished finish.
• Guaranteed for 300 Machine Washings

The Glass and Chrome Cloth’s advanced microfibers can potentially remove wax/polish from the car body, especially residue that would harbor dirt and bacteria. It will not remove or impact the protective paint finish.

Hazel: Five Months Old

Hazel turned five months old yesterday! No height and weight stats to report since she doesn’t need to go back to the doctor until she’s 6 months old. She’s sleeping pretty well at night; sometimes she goes all night, and sometimes she wakes once, around 4am. She’s also one of the happiest babies I’ve ever met- especially first thing in the morning. We are so blessed to have her in our lives.

image

Things we’ve discovered about Hazel this month:

– She still has little to no patience for long car trips, although traveling during her bedtime seems to work out pretty well.
– She can now rotate while on the floor.
– She has also started to scoot- a sort of modified army crawl. She can actually make it across the room, though it takes a lot of time and effort!
– She hates napping at daycare
– When she’s overtired and cranky in the evening (due to the lack of nap), she loves to be held. This pretty much calms her instantly.
– She loves jumping in the bouncer.
– She LOVES her brother.

{Update} Commit to Get Fit – Week 2

image

One more week is over, so it’s time for another Commit to Get Fit update. How have I done?? Let’s see!

1. WATER
Goal: 64oz of water daily
Actual: I did terrible this week. I only averaged about 22oz daily. My highest single day consumption was just 40oz. Definitely need to improve here.

2. EXERCISE
Goal: Participate in AND complete the new Bikini Body Mommy 6 week challenge.
Actual: SUCCESS! I did all 6 exercises this week!

3. DIET
Goal: At least 5 servings of fruit and vegetables each day and limit my snacks and unhealthy foods.
Actual: Better, but not enough. Still didn’t get my 5 servings of fruit and veggies each day.

4. BALANCE
Goal: Schedule and prioritize my time better.
Actual: I think I did fairly well with this. Of course, I can always improve, but I felt like I had plenty of time for family, exercise, and hobbies this week.

5. SPIRIT:
Goal: Reconnect to church.
Actual: Fail…again. Going to do my best to make this happen this week.

I have lost 0 pounds this week. 25lbs to go until I hit my goal weight.

{Update} Commit to Get Fit – Week One

wpid-photogrid_1442254803102.jpg

Last week, I told you guys I was really going to buckle down and get serious about getting fit!  So, how have I done??  Let’s see!

1. WATER
Goal: 64oz of water daily
Actual: I averaged about 30oz daily. Not great. My best days were Thursday and Sunday, when I drank 48oz. Definitely need to improve here.

2. EXERCISE
Goal: Participate in AND complete the new Bikini Body Mommy 6 week challenge.
Actual: I did all 6 exercises this week! WOO!

3. DIET
Goal: At least 5 servings of fruit and vegetables each day and limit my snacks and unhealthy foods.
Actual: I know I did not get 5 servings of fruit and veggies each day. BUT, I did drink my Ningxia Red almost every day (forgot it twice), so I got some fruit/veggies there plus the antioxidant and essential oil boost! Still, I know I need to do better in this department. I did pretty well with limiting my snacks and unhealthy food. Having water readily available definitely helps with this- especially when I flavor it with my grapefruit essential oil.

4. BALANCE
Goal: Schedule and prioritize my time better.
Actual: I think I did fairly well with this. Of course, I can always improve, but I felt like I had plenty of time for family, exercise, and hobbies this week.

5. SPIRIT:
Goal: Reconnect to church.
Actual: Fail. I had it in my brain that we were going to make it to church yesterday, but I didn’t make it happen. No real excuse other than I didn’t prioritize it high enough. Hoping to do better next week!

And of course, because I need to track progress towards a weight goal… I have lost 0 pounds this week. 25lbs to go until I hit my goal weight.

Are you doing anything to improve your fitness? Physical, mental, emotional, spiritual- they all count! Let me know how you’re doing on your journey so we can root for each other!

Hazel: Four Months Old

Hazel turned four months old yesterday! She had her checkup today, and I’m excited to say she’s growing well! She’s still eating well and doing great at daycare.  Unfortunately our “sleeping through the night” run has ended, but she’s only waking up once (except for maybe once a week, when she wakes up more than that), and then she’s normally back to bed quickly.  We are fortunate that she goes down to sleep with relative ease- it’s not an hour long process like it was with Ian!

Hazel, 4 months. 14lb 3oz, 25in.

Things we’ve discovered about Hazel this month:

– She is really just a super happy baby.
– Except when she’s in the car seat for a long trip. Then she is NOT happy.
– She has officially busted the capacity of a size 1 diaper. Even though it fits her, it cannot contain her messes, especially overnight.
– She found her giggle- and it’s adorable!
– She loves to sit and stand (obviously with support).
– She is a rolling pro. Put her on her back and she’s on her belly in no time flat. Incidentally, she’s also now a belly sleeper.
